The Salt Mine Episode 8: The People of Melbourne Legacy

Download Link

On this off-beat episode of The Salt Mine we have recordings from a party on the 8th of October, 2016, involving some of Melbourne’s Legacy regulars. Sean interviews them, learns how they got into Magic, Legacy, what decks they love and how they feel about our local Legacy scene. Do note, due to the drunkiness (of everyone) and party atmosphere there is:

a) lots of background noise.
b) lots of swearing.

Nonetheless, enjoy this very different style of episode, as it nicely reflects how Melbourne Legacy has gone further than just the game of Magic – it has fostered friendships and community that can band together and have a house party. And that is awesome.

Songs, in order of appearance:
“Elegantly Wasted” by INXS
“Party” by Girls’ Generation
“Genesis” by Grimes
“Cold World” by GZA
“Laser Beam” by Perfume
“Losing You” by Solange
“Scotty Doesn’t Know” by Lustra
“Monkey Gone to Heaven” by Pixies

  1. AAAAwww man, I just found out about your blog, so much nostalgia! I worked at the Games Lab for 6 months a couple of years ago and picked up Legacy when I was there. The community is by far the best that I’ve seen anywhere. You guys are spoiled, enjoy it. Also, Cristobal, I picked up Dredge because of you, you always seemed to manage to win with it.
